Thanksgiving Week

The week of Thanksgiving brought about extreme busyness, change, miracles, family time, and lots of fun. The kids were looking forward to a week off of school. Megan decided to get her ears pierced. We let the girls get them done when they turn 8 but it took her almost a year to have the desire to get it done. She was actually pleasantly surprised that she hardly felt it. She loves her earrings! We then had the medical visits kick in. Brady jumped out of the back of Jason's truck while it was moving and the trucks back wheels ran over Brady's leg and stomach. I was not home when it happened and got the call and quickly raced to the ER to be with him. The ER doctors quickly rushed us in and did their examination. They then sent Brady for a cat-scan. The doctors came in to tell us that they could find nothing wrong with Brady other than a bad raspberry on his stomach. The doctors found it unbelievable and we knew that we had just received a HUGE miracle. Jason and I are in awe of this and are SO very grateful that Brady is fine. How powerful combined prayer can be! He has been very sore and limping, but other than that he is doing great. If Jason had not felt himself run over Brady then we would probably question if it really even happened. We know how very blessed we are!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately the next morning Addi had to go in for surgery to get her 2nd set of ear tubes and her adenoids removed. Thankfully Janece was able to come down at the last minute to stay with Brady. Addi did great and hopefully this set will work for us. For Christmas this year the girls wanted to redo their room. Jason worked on it for an entire day and night and finished it for them. They wanted green walls with zebra bedding and black and pink accents. It actually turned out REALLY cute and the girls love it! We enjoyed lots of hanging out with family during the week and did some fun activities. Karina was so kind to have our family and my brother Ben's family over for Thanksgiving at her new house. She did such a wonderful job hosting and we had a great time together with quite a feast. It definitely felt different with Mom and Dad gone and Emily and Lauren's family not there though! We sure missed them! The dad's took the kids on a campout Friday night and the mom's came up for the daytime hours with the babies. The kids always love getting out and camping, shooting guns, riding the go-kart, and just enjoying the outdoors. It was quite the eventful week with LOTS to be thankful for.
