This past week was the youth fair again that my girls always participate in through FFA. Megan raised and showed a pig and entered food, and Hailee raised and showed chickens and goats and entered food as well. Hailee started off with 26 baby chicks and only lost 8 this year and raised them. We choose her 3 best hens and 3 best roosters to show as well as an alternate of each. She did great! She won Reserve Grand Champion for both her hens and roosters and also won the Senior Chicken Showmanship Award. For this she received several ribbons and 2 beautiful belt buckles. The also was able to sell them in the auction at the fair! She made $1000 for the 3 chickens she sold -- nice!!! Great job Hailee!

Wow both girls made 1K that's awesome! Looks like they have some shopping with mom to do!
